My Pre-Italy Post

GUYS GUYS GUYS. I’ve dreamed about going to Rome, Italy since I was a wee little girl and now at the age of 23, I’m actually going!!! My biggest wish growing up was to visit the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin in there just like Lizzie McGuire. ❤️❤️❤️

As I have mentioned before, my dad is an artist and gets invited to do workshops in different countries, like Ecuador last year. When I found out he got invited to speak in Rome, I beamed with excitement! My family was thrilled as well and since it was perfectly timed with Thanksgiving, we just had to make it a family trip of course. We will be going to Rome, Florence, and Venice in Italy and then a 20 hour stopover in London on the way home so that I can say hi to my British boyfriend, Ben (yes, the Big one).

I’m actually already on my way to Rome. We had a long 4 hour delay getting out of LAX to New Jersey so we missed our connecting flight from New Jersey to London Heathrow. We are now a day behind from our original plans because of how crazy packed all flights are during this holiday week, but that’s okay. United paid for all our food and hotel accommodations for the extra time we have to spend waiting for flights (you da real mvp, United) and honestly, I’m too excited that nothing can really get me down!

I knew for months that we would be going to Rome, but I guess it hasn’t really sunk in since this has been a dream of mine for over a decade and it’s weird that it’s actually coming true. But for anyone who’s been to any of those 3 cities, I’d love to hear your suggestions of places we definitely need to go see! And also places to eat at! Especially with good gelato! 😋🙃

I’ll keep you all updated on my Italian adventures. ❤️
