Today is finally the day! I leave for Coachella tonight and I’m STOKED. My best friend/sissy poo, Nikki, and I have been dreaming about going to Coachella for years now and finally we committed to saving money and actually going haha I’ll take tons of pictures throughout the weekend for a Coachella post once I get back and I’ll be keeping my Instagram updated (hopefully I have signal though) so don’t forget to follow @frommyfoureyes!

I am currently finishing up my packing for the weekend (as you can see, I am a last minute person). This year I’ll be car camping! I’m going to need a lot of stuff to stay hydrated, clean from all the desert dirt, and of course stylish. Here’s a quick run down of my essentials for this weekend.

  1. Sunscreen. If you forget to bring this, you’ll be toast. Literally. Got my handy dandy face & body sunscreen from Trader Joe’s.
  2. Dry Shampoo. Who knows how packed the showers are going to be and I gotta keep my hair as clean and anti-oily as possible. I bought the Herbal Essence travel sized dry shampoo from Target.
  3. Deodorant. In the crazy heat of the Indio desert, need I say more? I use the all natural Tom’s deodorant in the lavender scent.
  4. Snacks. Nikki and I live the #fatlyfe and love food so we need lots of snacks for the road and while we’re there. I’ve heard Coachella has a huge variety of delicious food vendors though, so I’m planning to check those out, but to save some money, bring some food too. And don’t forget that it’s going to be hot and your cooler space would most likely be full of drinks so I would advise not to bring snacks that melt. So I had to refrain from buying chocolate, wah! I had to get my Sour Patch Kids though. Think of camping food. We got chips, pop tarts, tuna, energy bars, apples, cuties, etc.
  5. Go Pro. Apparently this is the last year Coachella is letting Go Pros into the festival. I was already sad that I couldn’t bring my DSLR, so I had to take up the opportunity to bring my Go Pro. Film graduate here, it’s my natural instinct to take photos and videos! Plus, my dad wants a video of Guns N’ Roses performing lol good luck to me on that one.
  6. dōTERRA OilsI have a feeling I’m going to have horrible allergies there from the dust and dirt. And I am loyal to my oils. Gotta have my Peppermint oil with me. That oil works wonders.
  7. Light. Flashlights and camping lights. I ain’t wasting my phone battery for a flashlight #sorrynotsorry. So I bought a flashlight and I also have a solar powered camping light.
  8. Batteries. This includes an extra battery for your phone and batteries for miscellaneous things like your flashlight, point and shoot camera, etc.
  9. Moisturizer. Anything from body lotion, a moisturizer for your face, lip balm, anything else that keeps you moisturized. This is the desert in Cali-freaking-fornia, home of dryness.
  10. Hand Sanitizer and/or Wipes. You’ll be touching lots of dirty surfaces. I’m not a germaphobe, but you still gotta keep your hands clean.
  11. Cooler, Water, and Ice. We’re bringing two coolers; one for just water because we are brining tons of it! People suggest to bring dry ice rather than regular ice so it stays cold longer.
  12. Cooking Supplies. This one doesn’t really pertain to us because we decided we’re not going to cook, but I wanted to add it anyways. Portable stove, propane, pots, cooking utensils, plates, cups, table, etc. We are still bringing a table, trash bags, and other stuff for our EZ up, but we ain’t spending time cooking anymore haha
  13. Comfy Shoes. I’ve heard close-toed shoes all the way. Boots or sneakers would be best.
  14. First Aid Kit. Never know when you’ll need one.
  15. Sleeping Stuff. Blanket, pillow, sleeping bag, etc. Might be self-explanatory, but I’ve been to overnight things where people forgot these stuff!
  16. Pepper Spray. I might sound paranoid to you guys, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. There will be a lot of drunk people and people on drugs. Be alert of your surroundings and know how to defend yourself. Especially you ladies. My brother even bought me a taser for this weekend. So no one better mess with me while I’m asleep or else! 😉
  17. Bathing Suit. There are tons of pool parties so you should pack one! And even of you don’t swim, you might want one for the public showers.
  18. Hat. I’m bringing a sun hat and a James Bay hat haha I gotta keep my face away from the sun. Team no sun spots!
  19. Other Essentials. Toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, towels, etc. Don’t forget those everyday things while you’re packing a million other things. You might also want to bring a sleeping mask and/or earplugs because people party all night.
  20. FESTIVAL CLOTHES! One of the best parts of Coachella is the style! I loved shopping for this weekend and I’m so excited to wear my cute outfits!

Check, check, check! Who’s ready for Coachella?! WOOOOO!
